Function with Form
The Ultimaker S5 works on a powerful technology, and its simple, clean and stylish enclosure is a great fit for your office. The internal temperature and optimal airflow are regulated by the tinted glass doors and an enclosed front. The intuitive touchscreen has an interface to guide you through the printing process, keeping you updated with status information. Get visual feedback and view your prints up close with the frame lights of the S5. The power supply is embedded, giving the printer a clean footprint and making it possible for rack or shelf mounting.
Reliability at Scale
With its large build volume of 330 x 240 x 300, you can print at large scale or fit many parts on a build plate to get your design specifications. Maximize production efficiency by grouping multiple Ultimaker S5 and Ultimaker S3 printers combined with Cura Connect.
Dependable Adhesion from the First layer to Finished Part
The quality of every 3D print depends on the first layer. To get a perfect first layer always, we have updated our active leveling technology. The Ultimaker S5 creates a precise and detailed heightmap of the build surface by probing the build plate in more locations. It uses this data to make up for any surface deviations in real time to produce a perfect, extremely flat first layer, securing the adhesion to last the entire print. You don’t have to monitor the process constantly, as the Ultimaker S5 knows its job and will execute it excellently.
Greater Flexibility and High Uptime
Swappable print cores allow for effortless, tool-free maintenance and supreme printer uptime. The S5 feature different nozzle sizes ranging from 0.8 mm for fast prints and 0.25 mm for super-fine detail. This enables various print characteristics. Click in your desired combination fast and easy for dependable dual-extrusion using the print core slots in the print head. Create beautiful prints with different colors, or design with water-soluble PVA or Breakaway support for full geometric freedom, easy post-processing, and a top-notch surface finish. This creates polished and professional tactile projection models or complex mechanical parts.
To achieve precise, consistent results with a range of materials, the Ultimaker S5 makes use of two interchangeable build plates: hardened glass for general use, and flat anodized aluminum for advanced engineering materials like ABS, CPE+, and PC. The two build plates clip on to the stiff aluminum heated platform quickly and easily to secure the print in place throughout the printing process.
Full Control
A Full-color touchscreen is integrated into the front panel of the S5, making operations easy, intuitive and informed. Explore menus and select options just like a smartphone. The display provides detailed information such as loaded materials, print cores and the temperatures of the build plate and nozzle, to update you on the job in progress. The 3D preview gives you a comprehensive preview of the print job at hand. Choose from a list of languages to include English, Japanese, German, simplified Chinese, and Korean. The Ultimaker S5 is available worldwide.
